New Canadian pilot on Vancouver Island. Having problems seeing my drone in the day time. Considering adding strobe lights . Anyone using them, are they effective, what are the best ones for the MA. Old eyes need help. All comments appreciated.

They are very effective. Visibility distance is at least tripled..and easily 2000 - 2500 ft.... this is based on reacquisition of the drone after looking at my controller. All my drones; Spark, MPP, and M2P have 4 of the Firehouse ARC2 strobes. I use 2 whites facing rear and then red and green in aircraft fashion on the front which also lets me visually determine orientation of the aircraft.

Of note: dusk, dawn, and low light is easy visibility to at least 1-1.5 miles, but visual acquisition is more difficult.

The strobes I use are the Firehouse Technology ARC II. They are the best on the market in my opinion.
You can see a comparison video I did of all the major strobes here:

Thanks for your input guys. Have been trying to find a Canadian dealer without success. Am looking at the Firehouse white strobes, one over and one under. I guess I will import from US.

I use these as well for my Air. I purchased the holders as well, getting one for a front leg and one for a rear leg. Very pleased, extremely bright

I use the Strobon series. Not quite the cost of the Firehouse, but just as effective.

Prefer the Firehouse ARC2 series. Use 2 whites in rear and then red and green in aircraft fashion on the front. After trying others I have them on all my birds... Spark, MPP, and M2P with the Aerial Pixel mounts.

Just ordered the kit for Mavic Pro from Firehouse Technology. The Mavic is hard to see in no time. This should help.

I placed mine on the sides with command Velcro 3lb strips. Doesn't interfere with the fold up and helps with orientation at a distance. I can get pictures of the set up when I get back home.
