Mavic Air Updating

I sold my P3P so im now shopping for another drone. Seriously considering the Mavic Air. Im wondering if updating the firmware is doable using my iPad or iPhone or is a laptop necessary? I no longer have a laptop so updating anything that way won’t be an option. I remember the many steps required to update my P3P using my old laptop. It was a scary and a drawn out process. Hopefully they’ve made the Air more user friendly.

The firmware can be updated from DJI GO (using a mobile device) or the DJI Assistant 2 application (using a computer). The videos below show the update process in both applications.
