Mavic height

Hi. I live in the top of a hill. I would like to send my Mavic downhill to check some stuff out. Is there an issue that the aircraft is lower than my position?

The altitude displayed on the controller is based on the point of takeoff, not height above ground. This will give you weird altitude readings so you will have to be careful to make sure you are not flying too low

Just make sure you adjust your RTH. If RTH is set at 50m and you are dropping 50m, then get into trouble and find the need to use RTH your mavic will climb 50m and hit the face of the cliff, tress or whatever.

RTH is about the home point (0) altitude. So it will climb 50m above a 0 reading, not just above it's current height.

Make sure you adjust the controller antennas so the flat side is pointing toward where you're flying.
