Thanks for the correction. CE really throttles the superior 5.8Ghz band, that is so effective here in the U.S..

I thought about that, but I'm not sure if that wouldn't be jumping from the pan into the fire. I knew this is a residential area, but was not expecting it to be that bad, 5Ghz is still the cleanest band.

It may be the cleanest band but in CE drones it has very, very little power. Change to 2.4

Exactly what I was thinking, a 245g drone 66m in the air. What could possibly go wrong?

It's not the weight but the propulsion power for steady wind. Weight would help dampen buffeting in changing wind though.
