Mavic Mini Lens Hood - Worth it?

I recently came across lens hood options for Mavic Mini and I managed to narrow down my choice down to two.

Has anyone used a lens hood for drones before? Does it actually work as advertised?

Also, if anyone has purchased these products, I'd greatly appreciate your input.

I have just flown my Mavic Mini for the first time with a lens hood. With a fairly strong side wind my drone jolted and dipped twice. Never seen this before so will put it down to the hood?

Note, as I'm sure you already have, that using a lens hood will require the MM to be registered with TC and the pilot to have at least a 901.55 Basic Operations certificate.

I purchased this hood off of Amazon and found that it stuck down too far and lifted the landing legs off the surface. This cause some weird vibrations in the landing legs on takeoff. I cut it down so that the legs made contact with the surface again and the vibration, on take off, went away. Hopefully the pic shows how much I had to trim compared to original.
