Mind the heatsink gets hot. Not really a good solution for a drone AND a battery you do not want to overheat!!!!!! Don t do that until you know how the li-ion behaves!

Enough options to do the mod id say.
If the Cyclone performance is close to the boosted Nanosync you will need a mod if you go for long range. Heck i already need a battery mod with stock RC nowadays.

I wanted it mainly for getting through trees, most of the time my long distance flights are over water.

I wish OccuSync was on my Inspire 2, cause the Mavic stock RC range is pretty great already.

Man I am lucky. Went to Home Depot real quick and when I got back I just happened to notice one of my P3 battery was lit up. I looked at it and noticed it was puffed up badly. Threw it in ammo can and it's sitting on the patio. Pretty sure it was discharged because it was sitting for a while. Then I checked another that I had that was dead from too much discharge and it too was really puffed up. I normally keep all my batteries in ammo cans but left these in the garage on my bench. Could have been a disaster. I will make sure That I don't get lazy and store ALL of my batteries in ammo cans and keep on concrete from now on.

DJ that cell deviation is out of whack .. how far down %% did you fly? does that stock battery still work? odd that went so low but the external had 3.7v, but similar to what other battery clip users reported..

ed209 - ty for that i went and checked my p3 bats and one of the 3rd party ones (which had abad cell) is puffy. It was in my backpack with the p3 :/ (It was bench bat). Gonna put in saltwater

Glad that it prompted you to check. I have so many batteries laying around it's always on my conscience! I'm sure you noticed before but if you let a battery sit really long it will eventually discharge to 1 light. I am pretty sure this battery was totally discharged. The other was an old Horizon battery that had the dual xt60s coming out of it. Puffed up like a mofo. They're both on my patio now in the rain.

Never bad to give people a heads-up. I actually did my yearly lipo-cleanup some days ago. Nothing rotten but still got rid of some "suspects" im not planning to use in the near future. Thanks for sharing.

So I ordered my Titan 7000 and it will be here on Wed. I built my mod clip like this so I think that I won't have any problems moving the battery forward enough so that there is no interference with the gps.
