Mavic2 Battery Mods

I'm curious to see how well these fly on the m2, they were great performers on the phantoms. I never got a chance to break em down to a 3S block for mav1 before I semi-retired from LR.
I'll strip off the hard cases of course.[emoji41]

Dirtybum, I would bet they will perform good, once you stripping off the hard cases and get there combined weight near 600g.

@lolo780 @CyberNate @chazz @SkyNinja , See attached for the batteries that Lolo highly recommended.

I also bought the charger that cybernate recommended for over packing the LiHv's. I bought 4 batteries and 2 of them error out during the charge cycle.

Just curious if this looks familiar to anyone??

I just picked up this 4 battery charger and verified it supports 4.4v LiHv charge level if you need that.

I now have over 80 cycles on one of my M2P batteries and it's stll performing very well. 33k ft x 2 is still easily reached. I had wondered if using 4.40v would shorten cell life but the M2 is easier on batteries than the M1. Either way I can't complain and will keep flying.

FYI - I combed over the M2E heated battery and there is zero physical external differences except for the tiny description on the label:

295 vs 298 grams.

And it only heats the battery to 43F which is useless for any LR activities.

But for recreational fliers in very cold places, it has its purpose.

I did a run out to 32500 with those 6750s today did pretty good . I had to used sports wrap on battery so I could fly today .1st time on battery so didn't really over charge @SkyNinja

I bet that jumper cable is half the weight and could start your car :)

When I shorten the cable i got the weight down to 519g.

I did put 14g on the 6750 but used 12g on 8000s . Going to get some 16g wire and cut leads short (no

Thanks bro

I attempted a flight the other day with HS8000 but it was too cold(27°f). Flight started out good at 90% I was over 18000 feet out. Once I got out about 45K I could tell the cold was getting to the batteries and my power level was dropping faster than I like, so I turned around at 48K and managed to get back with 31%.

I can’t wait for so spring to get here.

I thinks its well documented that anything bigger than 16 gauge is overkill.

I still believe that 18 gauge is just fine for LR flying (no prolonged aggressive flying). I would be curious if others have comments on this topic.
