Mini 2 Install

Hello everyone,

I just picked up the Mini 2 today and fixing to install and activate. How does this work on DJI Fly since I already have my Mavic Mini 1 associated with the app on my phone? Does it just install the Mini 2 and then select between whichever one I am flying? Sorry, but never had two drones before running on DJI Fly.

The app will recognize each drone.

As soon as you plug in the remote to your phone and turn on the remote and the drone it will recognize which one you're using

Thanks so much you guys. I just wanted to make sure before I plugged all this in. I may sell my Mini 1, but thought about passing it on to my daughter. I think that would be worth more than the 200$ I might get out of it.

I had a mini 1 AND REPLACED IT WITH A MINI 2. NOW I GET BOTH ON THE APP SCREEN AND TAP ON THE MINI 2 TO CONNECT IT. for give all caps. hit the key by mistake.

I flew it today. I love it. There is a significant difference on that connection and range. I love it. Zoom feature pretty cool too.

If you start the app after the AC connects to the RC, it should auto detect the model.

I didn't know you could connect the AC to RC without the app. Usually I have the app open and it says connect to AC

You can make the connections in any order you want. You can even fly without the app, though firmware will limit altitude/distance for safety.

But if you prefer connecting the app to the RC first, wait to go to camera view until the AC is connected. There's even a setting to jump to camera view on AC connection.
