Ok, I get it now. DJI is slowly increasing their prices sporadically across the board hoping no one will take immediate notice:

Here in Canada the prices have so far remained the same. Regular battery USD$65, Plus battery USD$95.

It's not a case of hoping no-one will notice.
It's just a fact of life that when tariffs increase on imports, the retail prices of those imports will also go up.

When new stock comes in, it now costs more with the import tariff. Simple math. Anyone that believed dumb-dumb that the other countries pay the tax will soon understand how it really works.

It's quite disturbing to watch this gradual strangling of drone use unfold and have an effect on the intended victims: the end-users.

I bought the three, 249 gram batteries and charger when I got my mini 4 pro. the 1st battery physically disintegrated after a year. (clips broke off) It was still under the original warrantee and so they replaced it. Now the second of the three- same thing, the clip was missing when the drone returned. At the ridiculous price of $65 you'd think they could make something more resilient than this. These batteries were never mistreated or misused in any way.

Here is my solution to the snapped off battery tabs: Postal size elastic. see photos: It doesn't interfere with the camera or the avoidance eyes. and saves buying another battery.

I used to store the batteries in the DJI ”charging” hub and charge them on an aftermarket charging hub that actually charges 4 batteries at once. This meant the batteries would be clipped or unclipped 4 times per charge. I’ve now ground away the areas on the DJI “charging” hub so the tabs don’t get squeezed there and the only time the tabs are stressed is putting batteries into or removing them from the drone.
