And even by creating a backlog (maintain short supply for a while, right after the product launch) they could optimise the production and also demand the lowest price for externally sourced components.

Probably DJI was going to release a Mavic2 with a 1 and 2.8 inch camera and after Evo out decided to upgrade Mavic2 with a full 1 inch sensor. Let's hope.

I see dual batteries, changeable gimbal/camera payload, side/rear OA sensors, maybe even a top OA sensor, difficult to see. If this is a genuine picture, which it seems to be. Bigger than the MP so it seems. Might just as well be positioned as the replacement of the P4 series as well.

It's called Mavic 2... No suffix of pro or anything..

Looks like a 2 axis gimbal with an EIS yaw.

It looks real and on top of that DJI is a leak factory so I am pretty sure it was not very hard to get pictures.

It looks like a beast, it's not going to be all that portable but it does sport some nice features. I really like the idea of a removable gimbal assembly. I would love it if they came out with an IR camera module as an option.
