My Adorama Mavic 4 Pro Fly More Combo Post-Purchase Experiences

I ordered the CC on Friday from Adorama, I just got my tracking info an hour ago.
That's encouraging.
Still waiting on mine, but the day is still young!

Edit: I just called Adorama.
They confirmed that my online order will, in fact, ship out today!
They just got a bunch in stock this morning.

I can now safely cancel my in stock Amazon Canada order that I was going to have sent to Reship in Canada arriving Thursday. With $2100 in unpaid
tariffs, and Reship's cost on top of my $4030 ay Amazon Canada, it would be over $6100, instead of Adorama's $5000 with taxes, shipped out today. Just saved $1100!

When I told the guy in Cameras (#1 on the VM tree) who answered that I was fully aware of no DJI warranty and no DJI Care, but wasn't told anything during my online purchase process about no warranty and DJI Care, he confirmed no DJI Care.
Regarding warranty, he said it DOES have a warranty.
Really?
When I asked who I contact if I have a warranty issue, I was told DJI.
When I asked what happens when DJI tells me no U.S. warranty because I bought it in the U.S., what do I tell DJI, there was dead silence for 5 seconds.
He then said he would transfer my call to someone who knew better…
5 people ahead of me now.
Still on hold…

I'm pretty certain if the order is in before 1:30 PM EST, it ships the same day with Adorama, or at least, that's the way they've done it in the past.

Just received a UPS Tracking number from the Adorama customer service rep (still not yet scanned, though) and she confirmed it has a 12 month DJI warranty, also shown on the website under "What's in the box?" and she gave me the DJI El Cerritos direct phone number to verify the warranty!

They still have more Creator Combo stock at $4649 for anyone who wants one!

Thanks for confirming; appreciate it. Wish I could get mine now...but I can't; I'm jealous. :)

You are now $5,000 richer than I am, though! LOL!

The best news is that DJI USA is facilitating all DJI warranty and repair replacements for Americans whose drones have been sourced through DJI Canada, and Adorama is also sourcing their stock from DJI Canada. Win, win!

It's a symbiotic relationship to help us out, until the U.S. Customs issues get sorted out, and it means we still have reasonable options to buy in the U.S. and still have a usable DJI warranty and options for repairs through DJI USA.

Whoa, I did not know about this.

I thought Adorama was getting their DJI stock directly from DJI in China. Didn't know they were coming via Canada. Also didn't know those in the US who purchased drones from Canada will be warranty repaired in the US.

Officially, it is not warranty repaired in the U.S., but is merely facilitated by DJI USA, as long as the serial number is from DJI Canada. Nothing is ever repaired. It is replaced with a Refurb which must come from Canada.

It is not a DJI USA warranty, but a DJI Canada warranty which is facilitated by DJI USA. The inventory must have been originally sourced from DJI Canada based off the serial number, even though bought by you from Adorama.

Contact Adorama first so they can either create a warranty repair order with DJI USA, or handle your replacement internally, if it was DOA.

You then ship the problematic Mavic 4 Pro drone to DJI USA for warranty assessment at their expense. They decide if the needed repair is a warranty issue or a paid repair issue. If deemed a warranty issue, DJI USA will source the replacement from their Refurbished Mavic 4 Pro stock warehoused at DJI Canada entirely at their expense and deliver it to you in the USA. If it is a paid repair issue, once you pay the repair invoice cost, it is handled the same as a warranty replacement. DJI USA will source the replacement from their Refurbished Mavic 4 Pro stock warehoused at DJI Canada entirely at their expense and deliver it to you in the USA.

Works for me!

Kind of a hybrid warranty between DJI Canada and DJI USA that is technically from DJI Canada, but primarily being serviced by DJI USA for convenience of Americans.

do you think my B&H preorder will ship soon? I'm afraid to look! LOL
B&H seems to be well behind Adorama on the Mavic 4 Pro, and is not taking pre-orders any more, because they appear to have nothing on order yet with DJI Canada, unlike Adorama. B&H will bill your credit card before shipping, so you'll know!

Is it in the UPS system yet?
I received my tracking number but it still hasn’t been scanned by UPS yet.
Not yet.

I did talk with them this morning about shipping and they told me it was coming from their Tennessee distribution center. I know at my company, UPS comes at the end of the day for pick-ups, so hoping they already loaded them up and the site will update shortly.

I think your idea to wait a year after launch is a prudent move and it's one I had advocated too. Unfortunately, I couldn't help myself as my resolve melted away quickly especially after contemplating the US whole tariff thing and new fears of a DJI ban. LOL!

In hindsight, I obviously should have waited a little bit longer before ordering to wait for the Creator Combo to come available. Oh well!
Frankly, I never expected Adorama to come through with the Creator Combo in stock. It's still unavailable anywhere in Canada, except via an unreliable pre-order. The RC 2 Combo is the one that is readily available. Now Adorama has plenty of Creator Combos, but none of the regular Combos with the RC 2.

I, too, agree that DJI's future here is uncertain. Might as well grab their best while we still can! The included $1400 RC Pro 2 alone makes it worth the purchase, as the RC Pro 2 is also compatible with both my Mini 4 Pro and my Air 3S. The 8 minute longer flight time, max 45 minute charging time with the 200W charger, and the vastly improved low light sensitivity with 2 more stops of dynamic range will definitely benefit my sunset flights. What's not to like? Oh, the price! As a shrewd salesman once told me, "We'd rather apologize for the price once, than the lack of quality forever!" LOL!

LOL, I could not run downstairs fast enough to snag my credit card. Order placed at Adorama for CC kit and a spare battery, order at B&H canceled.

Cool! We'll know within 24 hours. No free 48 hour shipping on this item, which would be by air, so I'll have to wait for free ground shipping to arrive. Making room in the hangar nursery for the new baby…LOL!

Happy days!

Should have requested an Adorama link to share with everyone for my well earned affiliate commissions! LOL!

Now hopefully batteries start to trickle in before long, 3 is the absolute minimum I take on any job, I have 6 for my M3P.

With the extra 8 minutes flight time per battery, the new 200W charger and a power source, you might not need as many batteries as with the M3P. 45 minutes to charge one battery or 90 minutes to charge all three batteries at once in the hub. Big improvement! Even faster if you only fly your batteries down to 20%.

Most outings and jobs are away from AC power, so I either use the 12V DC system in my solar powered camper, a small 15W panel on short hikes or in the case of long ones, no way to charge at all.

5-6 batteries per bird has been standard for me since the M2P and the controller usually lasts at least 5.

Just wanted to share my post-order experience after purchasing a Mavi 4 Pro Fly More Combo with the hope that it will provide more clarity for others who are considering to buy a MP4 and DJI support for an M4P purchased in the US.

I ordered a Mavic 4 Pro Fly More Combo from Adorama on June 1 and received it last Friday, Jun 7. After activating it I saw my M4P record indicated it was under warranty AND I was eligible for DJI Care but when I went to the link provided to purchase DJI Care, there was a message stating it was not available because the Mavic 4 Pro was not released in the US.

I contacted DJI via LiveChat on 8 June and they confirmed they cannot provide DJI Care but they were adamant that they will make it available for the Mavic 4 Pro as soon as possible in the future. As to why they are not offering DJI Care service at this time they wrote, "Truly sorry that due to the parts required for after-sales repair services currently being allocated, we are temporarily unable to provide after-sales service."

I was severely bummed. Although I considered it a longshot, I called Adorama to see if I could return it given I cannot get DJI Care. They said no, as per their policy. Once the box is open and once the drone activated, no returns possible.

I considered offering it on eBay for a couple hundred dollars off from what I paid for it but eBay would take 15% in commission and that would be much too painful. So I guess I will be extra careful flying my M4P until DJI can offer DJI Care coverage.

As for the M4P itself, so far I think it is a fantastic drone! I also have an Air 3S Fly More Combo which is fantastic in it's own right but the M4P is better.

I should mention that I also bought some accessories. A hard case for my M4P Fly More Combo, a cheap Ali Express filter kit, a 240 Watt PS for my battery charging hub, and a RC 2 Pro controller.

I received the FVPtosky case for my M4P which I purchased on Amazon for a decent price. Everything fits perfectly and it seems like a quality product.

I ordered a cheap 17-pack from Ali Express filters for something like $13 including shipping. Since Newer and other M4P filter manufacturers have long lead times for filters, I figured since the AliExpress filters are so cheap there's more upside potential in getting them and they are worth a try, even if they turn out to be crap. Haven't received them yet but from tracking looks like I might sometime this week.

I ordered a DJI 240 Watt PS for the Mavic 4 Pro from Adorama for $179 after ordering my M4P Fly More Combo but it's still on backorder. Ordered this because the Fly More Combo only comes with a 100 Watt PS and I wanted the faster charging capabilities of the 240 Watt PS. The 240 Watt PS is standard for the Creator Combo.

Lastly, I ordered an RC 2 Pro controller from B & H ($100 less than Adorama) and that is backordered too. I got this because I couldn't get the M4P Creator Combo and wanted the RC 2 Pro. I will use the RC 2 Controller with my Air 3S as well.
What about the main warranty. According to DJI they will not honor any warranty on drones in USA because it's not available here. If you live in USA no warranty
