I've been wanting to fly and shoot downtown Phoenix for a long time. However, most of the interesting areas are well within Class B airspace (extends to the ground). The Phoenix Biltmore area is north of downtown but still a great area. It's within 5 miles of the airport, but Class B airspace does not start until 5k feet AGL . I did notify Sky Harbor airport before flying in the area.

I shot this at about 7pm. It was not until I started editing the footage that I realized it was a little too dark on some shots. I should have reduced my filter by once step - still learning.

Thanks for the views! I haven't been to Phoenix in a long while. Used to live in Tempe and Scottsdale, long long ago, City sure has grown!

Great shots. I also don't think it was too dark. But you could easily increase that slightly editing and I don't think it would cause too much noise.
I love the Phoenix area. I in AZ twice a year for work, and I make sure to fly in and out of Sky Harbour just so I have the chance to spend some time in the area. I haven't flown there since I've had the Mavic, but I can't wait to go.

Thank you for doing the right thing and calling ATC for the heads up.

Awesome footage! And also nicely edited!
How long was your flight time over all? I did notice that the horizon in some scenes is a bit off.

Some of the shots in the shadows were pretty underexposed. When trying to lift them in post, it did cause some noise. I learned that I probably can't get away with using a single filter when my shots are in and out of the shadows late in the day. I'm glad you liked it.

I'm constantly battling the horizon/gimbal offset issue, but yeah, good eye. If I had to guess, I would say total flight time was about an hour on that day. Thanks for the kind words. I love editing almost as much as flying - almost.

Very nice!
