I just tried to download my first videos from the card in my drone using a cable connection to the drone. As the card arrived formatted, my Macbook Air would not see the card. I pulled the Micro SD card out and put it in a card reader. My Mac saw the card in the card reader and of course, recognized the MOV files.

Anyone have any suggestions on how the card should be formatted to be capable of being read while still in the drone? And yes, I had the power onto the drone.

Did you format the card using the remote controller before you started recording? I always take a test shot before I take off just in case the SD is not jammed or whatever.

If your Mac Book Air can read the card directly, there's no formatting issue. Mac can natively read, maybe not write, to most common non-Apple formats (FAT, exFAT, NTFS {read only}). What you are experiencing is a connectivity issue. It is discussed here: https://mavicpilots.com/threads/can’t-connect-air-2-to-macbook-pro.93302/
