Hello All,

A client of ours sent in a MP for a gimbal swap and the rc button board fix.

Sent it back repaired and he states the drone fell out of the sky and wants us to cover the repair. Needs an upper shell, rear right arm front left arm and a gimbal of course. Our policy is we do cover our work for 90 days after the repair if its a defect. We do not cover pilot error

I do have the logs DJI Flight Log Viewer - PhantomHelp.com

Can the friendly wizards here advise if this was pilot error or something i should cover.

Don't mind covering if its an absolute defect.
TY in advance

This looks like a lost propulsion on the front right ... either due to a prop or a motor failure.

At 14sec into the flight up on 40m above HP with only full throttle input the AC suddenly pitch negative, roll heavily to the right & start to rotate CCW, continues by the momentum a bit higher but then going down as a rock.

So in this sense no obvious pilot error ... but don't know if this have anything to do with the repairs you did to the AC.

All we did was a gimbal swap on the ac and a usb board swap on rc. we did do a test flight as we do w all drones...he sent it in w/ no props so we used the shops. will work it out w/ client tysm!

If you can get hold of the mobile device DAT log which contains the motor data we can pinpoint if it was a prop or a motor. The mobile device DAT log for this flight ends with FLY137.DAT. Read up here on where in the mobile device it can be retrieved --> Mavic Flight Log Retrieval and Analysis Guide (read under section 3. & Mobile device DAT files)

Yep ... this is a prop loss on the front right.

Characteristic for a prop loss is that the flight controller suddenly command 100% to the motor to counter for the uncommanded AC movement ... the motor answer by revving up near to max ... but at the same time the motor current draw goes really low as there isn't any air resistance.

That's exactly what we see here for the front right motor ...
