I want to Expand upon this Pilots answer because it is Critical to keep the Neighbors aware , you cannot just think that your neighbors will not care, because they will. Fear is everywhere.
1. Sign up to your Neighbor Hood at Nextdoor.com
2. Let everyone know that you are training for Search and Rescue and what that might include.
3 Post pictures from time to time letting people see your pictures.
we post weather pictures quite often and often people ask us to post more.
4. it goes a long way to make your drone look like its a Search and Rescue Drone , I cant tell you how important that is. You dont want people saying that it doesnt look like one.
5. Let them know when your flying at night that your doing a Perimeter check of the area, Post the video.
Post what your willing to do for your community: find dogs, cats kids, river spills , lake weather, tornado watches, the more reasons the better.

The most important aspect is to make your drone look like a Search and Rescue drone.
Add a Wet Suit , lights and a hook and your set up .
Every drone Pilot should be part of the Search and Rescue in the Neighboor hood.
