Neo Confiscated

That's probably the generic message which means either one of those has occurred and it's likely the latter. It appears customs is seizing some of the drones and you have to do a lot of work to get them released or else they get shipped back to China. I doubt they have confiscated the drone which would mean it is contraband and would get destroyed or disposed of; but it's possible.

As you know, Amazon does not have warehouses in China to ship from so if you expect to buy from Amazon directly, please make sure the item is "Shipped and Sold by Amazon." Currently when I scan on amazon.com, I don't see any.

Based on testimony I saw from CBP before Congress earlier this week, the border patrol really really really does not like dji Chinese drones.

Sorry for your trouble. I usually buy from Amazon, but I kept seeing odd messages, so I bought direct from DJI same price and free shipping. I bought in on 12/4 and it did come from China and was delivered on 12/9. I also checked a couple of other places and including B&H in NYC and I felt DJI seemed like the best way to go. I've started building drones in 2013 with DJI parts and then their fully assembled ones. I hope you eventually get yours.

Incredible and sad, the latter 30 years society went downhill to the total control and paranoia we live in today, not even a toy you can buy, because potatoes.

It means your drone is sitting in US Customs. You can thank your representative in Congress and their unfounded paranoia of DJI and other CCP drone manufacturers.
I was in the military with a pretty high clearance.
Trust me when I say that the government officials have access to intelligence that you will never know about.
With all the news telling you about Chinese hackers (government sponsored no less) infiltrating our telecommunications networks and such you really think that the CCP isn't leveraging drones? You can look no further than the fact your DJI drone automatically sends info to their servers to see how that info is available to the Chinese government.
How they use it we - the public - have no idea. Knowledge is power.
Just like how a lot of European countries and now the US are banning Tik Tok - they HAVE information that says the CCP has access to millions of people's data.
Just because YOU don't see it doesn't mean decisions are made whimsically or frivolously.

Just because YOU don't see it doesn't mean decisions are made whimsically or frivolously.

Or moronically.

Too many people just don't understand the biggest value first and foremost is having the data. It doesn't necessarily have to have any identifiable intel value at the time it is collected.

The future can change that, enormously.

@Brojon

Granted that we don’t ever get to see all the intell that goes to appropriate subcommittees in Congress. That said, with all the BS claims made about DJI drones (and now Autel as well), we as a drone community need to be shown the “glaring facts”. This ‘trust us we are looking out for you’ is so reminiscent of McCarthyism that it isn’t even funny.

If these drones are truly capable of transmitting all their data back to China like we are lead to believe, then why is Congress not putting an immediate halt to their use by anyone in the US?

This is nothing short of geopolitical shenanigans, and if not for the opening of trade with China back in the early 1970’s we would not be dealing with this now.

BTW I’m former military myself, but it doesn’t mean I blindly trust politicians (I’m not saying you do). As my grandfather used to say, “Once you elect an honest person into office, they won’t be after three months on the job”. PAC’s and lobbyists take care of that for us.

The only thing to stop most of the problem would be to only have bills cover one topic. No clumping tons of pork and graft into bills.

I started this message meant as a warning as to purchasing DJI products from Amazon and not meant to politicize drones. I simply assumed purchasing from Amazon would be as fast as direct from DJI and that should have returned be necessary would be easier. Haydon Photographic claims to be customer Centric but in fact did not return my messages about the delay or requesting a refund. Fortunately Amazon customer service representative by phone has in the past and this time been very customer oriented. Although the person helping me was long-winded the refund was applied. I've now ordered directly from DJI that promises receipt of the order before Christmas and have already received a tracking number.
