Typical DJI. They always have something newer and better right around the corner.but NEO 2 is apparently coming soon
I don't share scam deals. These are all Third Party SCAM Sellers on Amazon Marketplace with horrible CRITICAL reviews
The Neo has a decent camera for a beginner drone and the price is excellent. I actually bought one new on eBay for $135. With RC-N3 controller & Fly more kit(extra batteries & charging bank). It will still run you $300-$350 so the Mini 4K with its better optics should be considered as well for most people. In my instance I wanted a near indestructible drone to fly with my 7 y/o twins so I stuck with the Neo and haven't regretted it at all.I was thinking about getting one, but after some research, the Neo 2 rumors suggest a 1 inch sensor and better stability. So think I will wait. Everyone complains about the low image quality on the current version. DJI always seems to be lurking around to common customer wishes of improvement and responds quickly.
But will it be released in the US?Thinking about a backup.....but NEO 2 is apparently coming soon.
Almost with certainty it will not be released in the US but at this point, that's not an impediment for me.But will it be released in the US?
With all due respect, this isn't just one third party seller on Amazon Marketplace. Amazon changes which Third Party Seller based upon the configuration being sold, and whoever is up next for Scam Sellers, once they burn through the first one. Amazon fulfillment means nothing when it is a 3rd Party Seller purchase you are making, covered ONLY by the A to Z Guarantee, not the real Amazon Guarantee, which requires it must be shipped and sold by Amazon LLC. Please read all the critical reviews of each of the sellers you are linking to on Amazon's Marketplace. They are HORRIBLE! Amazon is then putting strikeout over the horrible reviews, so they do not count in the review summary. Amazon is in cahoots with these Scam Sellers. Amazon continues to promote them and refuses to remove them when they prove to be complete scammers.I don't share scam deals.
While I can't confirm exactly who the seller is (it appears to be a company in China), this one definitely isn't a scam. And if you decide to return your purchase for any reason, it'll be super easy since it's fulfilled by Amazon.
There was indeed only one 3rd party seller in the buy box when I created this thread. But, yes, now that Amazon Prime Big Deals is over, you're correct that Amazon is now cycling the buy box to show the best available price since nobody is selling at that low price of $159.With all due respect, this isn't just one third party seller on Amazon Marketplace. This particular 3rd party seller didn't have terrible reviews. You'll often find official DJI dealers among the sellers listed in Amazon's Marketplace. For example, Adorama is included on this listing. Please read all the critical reviews of each of the sellers you are linking to on Amazon's Marketplace. They are HORRIBLE!

You would have if you took advantage of the deal before it expired. Check out the post from @4 inch pistons above. Will you get what you ordered from a third party scam seller "fulfilled by Amazon?" Maybe. If you don't, like all the Critical Reviews of these linked 3rd Party Scam Sellers are reporting, good luck on getting the problem corrected through the A to Z Guarantee!
It actually sounds like you're speaking from your general experience buying from 3rd party sellers on Amazon who handle their own shipping. I know you're trying to be helpful, but that experience doesn't apply to this specific deal.I am speaking from my own experience
I did not order the NEO but I went for a similar DJI product so I can let everyone know the details on what it's like to deal with an unknown 3rd party thru Amazon; I will share my experience:There was indeed only one 3rd party seller in the buy box when I created this thread. The great thing about Amazon is you can choose exactly who you want to buy from. Just because some people don't take the time to fully understand how Amazon works doesn't make it a bad or unsafe place to shop.

That said, I'm not trying to convince you. I'm only pointing out that your understanding of how Amazon works isn't entirely accurate.
