New EU noise regulations

According to the NODE (Network of Drone Enthusiasts) facebook page, there are some dark deeds afoot in Brussels to limit the noise emitted from drones. The bright sparks decided it'd be a great idea to measure the noise from a distance of 1mtr while the drone was on the ground... yep, real world situation.

They have a page where you can add your own noise about this intended legislation. Might be worth doing if you fly anywhere in Europe.

Great information, thanks for sharing it with us. Though i don't like the phrase "Endangered Community" for us drone pilots. How can we be endangered, we just started to explore the joys and possibilities of drone flying

I never understood this argument. My lawn mower and electric weed trimmer both make more noise. My neighbor plays his stereo loud enough drown out the mower.
