Installation of new Fly app and M3C firmware went smoothly (over WiFi using the RC Pro). The new functionality I've tested so far seems to work as advertised. Camera settings menu in DJI Fly has a better format. Satellite acquisition is as slow as before--or possibly even slower (had to hover to get more than 9 satellites). Horizon tilt seems better, although still not perfect in tests to date; and D-Log color assist on the RC Pro makes a big difference. Much to explore in the December and January firmware updates, and glad to have 'em.

No luck yet on Quick Transfer on RC Pro. -I cannot attach the RC Pro to the IPV6 SSID the drone puts out, it's looking for a password. I believe its similar to the Mini 2, but nobutton to enable it on the drone. Possibly similar to USD Mode button sequence Eddie Nunez posted.

Spent some time with DJI Support. Or I should say wasted some time. That Support doesn't know is not surprising. They find out stuff just like we do, or find out FROM us, lol. But when they keep going to ask "a specialist" - I assume they mean an SME, and THEY don't know... Well, your on your own. I usually consider it a challenge to figure it out before DJI Support can.

I found a long thread when certain devices wouldn't connect to Quick Transfer on Mini 2. I'm going to experiment in the morning. I'll post an answer if/when I find one.

Here's the thread. Some had success turning OFF wifi or using static vs dhcp. I personally think its just disconnecting from other access points, SSIDs.

Added support for Air 2S with RC Pro, so I guess those with the RC Pro and Air 2S might be able to purchase an M3 and use it with the remote and vise versa. Now, add a few more drones and we will be in business. I would consider an M3 in the future as things get worked out.

It works with the new firmware. I have a Mavic 3 and A Mavic Air 2S and both are connected to my DJI RC Pro. No problem

Unfortunately it does not at this time. Just the Air 2S. Lets hope they add all drones to the list. I would like to see my Mini 2.

For at least the first year, the 4G cellular service is included in the $299 (annual) Business plan.

They had a promotion to get their $998 (annual) Business+ plan upgrade free (at the $299 Business plan price) - which includes their Pix4D mapping service.

FYI - DJI put 4G LTE dongle on sale in China mainland region yesterday, and it was sold out in minutes. The regular controller needs one dongle, and smart controller needs two. And that means you need to purchase either one or two SIM cards with compatible 4G data plan. The dongle consumes more than 1G data in a 30 minutes flight. Pilot also pays an annual subscription fee to use DJI's data relay server for the dongle. That's quite some cost to actually use the service.

They never did plan a North America release, at least not from the Mavic 3 announcement date forward. As soon as FAA heard, they probably nixed it. Encouraging BVLOS!! Sigh.

Forget about 4G LTE dongle. DJI has no plan to release it in North America anytime soon.

Waypoints will be far better with Litchi if SDK ever released - Onboard Missions then to follow, & as for the LTE Dongle, just spotted this today >>

Thanks for sharing this. Are you using an iOS or an Android device?

I noticed the same issue - Quick shots still "coming soon" despite the firmware including mentions of some quick shots being included. I'd initially wondered if this was because the drone was on but not airborne at the time.

The Fly app just updated again on my Android phone for the second time in 24 hours. Will be curious to see if this fixes it. If it doesn't will try clearing the app cache, and then clearing the app data. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app will be last resort.

UPDATE: The new version of the Fly app appears to have fixed the issue. Now if I tap QuickShots it says "Unable to enter QuickShot mode when aircraft not in flight". The Pano feature also shows a similar message. I didn't need to clear/delete anything, just install the new update of the app.

Of course it is. What do you think it's using the LTE connection for? The fact that you need the LTE in the first place means you don't have a reliable connection. Video doesn't just magically beam across.

Just installed the update. There are tons of new features/changes to digest.

For one, DJI finally added back the old-fashioned RTH mode (now called "straight line RTH") in the settings, so you are no longer being forced to use advanced RTH.

Great update!, please any Mavic 3 owner can let me know if there are more ISOs available in DLog profile? there was 400 and 800 until now, which I think it is a bit dark as highest ISO, would love to see at least one higher ISO option.

Hi Howard. Log is intended to get the maximum dynamic range from a sensor. Sensors have what is known as a native ISO. An ISO value where it produces the greatest dynamic range. This is usually around 800 ISO although it varies. If you shoot log on most professional video cameras you are in fact limited to one ISO value. DJI don't list the native ISO value but it is ob400/800 on the M3, you wouldn't be getting the maximum dynamic range and therefore any advantage by shooting with log. Long way to say, this is almost certainly not going to change!

I love getting updates, and all the new goodies, but it's such a pain now that the updates have to come from DJI directly. I have a work profile on my Android phone that my employer requires me to have, and the security settings don't permit non Play Store updates. So every time there is an update i have to remove the work profile, which uninstalls everything from my work, then do the update and put the work profile back... which then needs to install everything again. Thankfully all me content is in the cloud, so I don't lose anything, but it's kind of a nuisance having to do this every time DJI pushes out an update.
