Wow, thanks for the hearty welcomes and the advice! I have been watching quite a few videos and getting to grips with it, the biggest issue is getting comfortable letting the drone do its own thing - I know it knows how to fly better than me, and knowing it will return home is a comfort.
BTW, i bought a bunch of action cameras in increasing price steps before i caved and got a gopro - that taught me that the market leader is almost always worth the price. Hence my M4P
