New Mavic Pro - RC doesn't seem to charge?

Hi guys I'm new to the forum. I've just received my new Mavic pro (1st Gen) today and it seems I've got a problem where the RC is not charging. The display on the controller lights up and says 'Charging' but it's been stuck on 0% battery for the past 2 hours now. I even changed the supplied Micro USB cable to a different one and the percentage is still not changing from 0% on the display which I would have expected it to do after all this time.

The Mavic's Lipo battery has fully charged with the same AC charger so leads me to think that the charger is fine. The lack of change in percentage on the display of the RC is concerning.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Update: Now the display is just switching itself off.

Yeah when I power it on, It briefly shows 'BAT 0 PCT' and goes off.

IF the charging cable (micro USB) was inserted upside down the charging tab in the RC might have broken. It is very fragile.
My bet is on the above SWAG.

Try another charger in addition to another cable.
