Howdy. I just replaced my mavic pro with a new (to me) Mavic pro platinum. The original has been in a box for over a year, and needs repair.

Can anyone confirm that the MPP is indeed RID compliant?

It's probably on the "maybe" list for now like some of the other older models waiting for a firmware update by the end of the year.

Can anyone confirm that the MPP is indeed RID compliant?

I think it's going to be a hard no. It's not listed here in DJI's forum and the FAA rescinded the previous submission since DJI claims they didn't submit the paperwork (see more details here).

@JohnSWood welcome to the forum ,i see you joined in 2018,still great that your still with us ,
as things stand right now ,you will need to fit an aftermarket RID module , as others have already mentioned,but at least for now you have six months of breathing space, before you could possibly face any penalties for failing to do so

Eventually DJI will sort it out- but I am gonna do it myself with a module.

Im thinking for an external RID to use the Drone Tag Beacon. it is FAA approved and it has a very short range, allowing compliance without being totally spied upon
