Those with the Smart Controller know the different options already out there. Which is a large peg with hole drilled, or a fixed ring that screws in. These add length to the bottom of the RC making it not fit properly into the hard cases. Unless you unscrew and re-screw them every time, which we all know is a hassle. I recently found some from tinyrigs.com which are a folding "D Ring" and add like no length to the bottom of the RC so that it still fits perfectly into my DJI Hard Case. The kit includes the pair of D Rings, a lanyard, and a screen cover slash shade... The shade though I wont be using as it doesnt have proper clearance for your thumbs and the joysticks

TruGreen,

Are you selling these?

Do you have a link for purchase?

Can you just buy the folding "D Rings?"

Thank you

That screw is a standard 1/4 inch made for photography tripods for holding cameras to the swivelling head. Can be bought from every store that sell camera equipments.

That's good info, Thanks you.

ive looked but none list the thread size which needs to be a M4 metric thread
And you are absolutely shure about that because I have a whole bunch of exactly the same D-ring screws to my photography gears and they all is 1/4 inch threads?

I got this one and love it. It keeps the controller horizontal and is more like when I flew RV planes. frees up your hands a lot more giving you more control. I addd release clips to the lanyard so I can easily take the lanyard off the mount when packing it up. View attachment 84683View attachment 84681View attachment 84680View attachment 84682
ive seen that too. but it would require me cutting the foam in my case which i preferred not to do. it also looks like it would obstruct a proper hold on the RC. my goal was just a lanyard to hang the RC from when i need a spare hand. I.E. holding M2P and opening a door. its not needed to suport while i fly

I like to fly pinch method so it works better for me but if you fly thumb method it might not be as helpful. I just have the go fly kit bag so it does not effect fitting in the case. With the release clips, I take the lanyard off and store it separately. different strokes for different folks. have a good weekend and safe flying!

The holes are metric and will not take 1/4 screws made for tripods or other equipment.
