Greetings from Kingsland, Tx. I have two UAS made by DJI. One is a Mavic Mini, and the other is a Mavic Air - both are first gen, so I keep lots of mini-USB cords around haha. I recently had to obtain my FAA Part 107 certification for work, so the Mavic Air had to be registered with the FAA (totally painless much to my surprise!). I suppose I’ll be flying whatever UAS they get us here at work as well! I am thankful to find this forum group and look forward to meeting and interacting with everyone. Definitely glad to have such a robust knowledge base here at my fingertips

Greetings from Birmingham Alabama USA, welcome to the forum! We look forward to hearing from you!

I'm from Northern CA - @okayred72 - Thanks for joining us @ MP!
There are sub-forums for each of your drones. Members in there share your platforms and can share info they've learned.

A big welcome to the forum from the UK!

Welcome from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, USA. We have a Member's Map in the Upper Right of the Title Bar. Click on "Members" and then Click on "Member's Map…" Check it out and you might find some new flying friends.

In the mid '90s, we lived in San Angelo, TX, and we had friends who lived on Lake Buchanan. That is some beautiful territory where you live.

Fly Safe and Enjoy!

Thank you! The Hill Country certainly is the low hanging fruit for some beautiful UAV footage.

I lived just South of Ocean View on Granby Street in the mid 1990’s! Then we lived in Chesapeake from 2009-15. It’s a small world!

Actually, I lived here up until the mid '90s (stationed at Langley AFB…) and I was reassigned to Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, then in the late '90s I was assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ… After retiring from the Air Force, we RV'd around the country looking for "home…" Since we had been assigned to Langley three separate times (mid '70s, late '80's and again back her in the early '90s…) we just settled here and here we be…

This is my "low hanging fruit" flying area…

And a video of the Peninsula…

I hope it does not make you "homesick…"
