Hello,
Been flying the Mavic Pro a couple of weeks, and have a comparison/query regarding its range.
My previous drone (Hubsan H501s Advanced) had a similar quoted range to the MP, but the remote was a 12V unit, and it never lost connection. I've recently broke connection with the Mavic, over a very short range <1000 feet (admittedly flying over a steel framed building). I'm at a loss as to how the Mavic can have a range of 5km, yet the remote is charged over USB (i.e. 5 volts), and almost certainly has a 3.7 Volt battery (same as a cellphone).
Apart from a slight suspicion over the quoted range, I'm very happy with the Mavic, It's a marvellous piece of engineering.
David
