Hello,

Been flying the Mavic Pro a couple of weeks, and have a comparison/query regarding its range.

My previous drone (Hubsan H501s Advanced) had a similar quoted range to the MP, but the remote was a 12V unit, and it never lost connection. I've recently broke connection with the Mavic, over a very short range <1000 feet (admittedly flying over a steel framed building). I'm at a loss as to how the Mavic can have a range of 5km, yet the remote is charged over USB (i.e. 5 volts), and almost certainly has a 3.7 Volt battery (same as a cellphone).

Apart from a slight suspicion over the quoted range, I'm very happy with the Mavic, It's a marvellous piece of engineering.

Welcome to Mavic Pilots from Dayton Ohio! In regards to your range issue, the Mavic Pro's advertised range is under ideal circumstances, clear of obstructions and an area clear of a lot of WiFi signals. I have personally gone around 2 miles with my Mavic Pro and just a bit further with My M2P. Fly safe and have fun!
