New DJI pro camera spotted in the wild for the first time

Dang DJI… Always finding new ways to get me to hand over my wallet.

I’m guessing this is going to be in the $6,000-$10,000 range so more for the Inspire crowd than the mavic crowd. People have been hacking up Inspire 2s to use the X7 camera as a handheld gimbal system for awhile now and if you add in the Z axis stabilization you’ll get a lot of takers.

8K is ~40MP. While I agree this is probably for the Inspire/Matrice level buyer, I hope it bodes well for higher resolution sensors trickling down to the consumer market. I would love to have 40MP capability on the M3 when it ships, even if it is stills only, as long as the noise is within reasonable limits.

Buy some big hard discs to store it all. Good luck editing those files on a tablet.
