Hey all

Belgium authorities have changed their regulations for the use of UAV's
Most important change (for visitors) is that you basically can bring your drone to Belgium and actually fly it legally.
The major change is that UAV's with a maximum weight of <1kg can now fly to a maximum of 10 meters agl.
Previously, this was only allowed in your own private space (like your garden).
It looks like they are complying more with European rules although the elevation is still "only" 30" where e.g. in Holland it's 120 meters (non commercial)

Attached is a map with the official Belgium airspace and their restrictions

Hi. Thanks for the info. Where can I find this new legislation text?

On the Belgocontrol website. For any other flights, you'll need a license (Class 2 or Class 1a or 1b)

Thanks but I don't find evidences that the law recently changed. For me it is still like before. Drone < 1kg are only permitted above private property and no where else) and with a maximum altitude of 10 meters
