DJI drops new firmware updates for Mini 2, Air 2S drones

It says it's in preparation for remote ID. It's focused on Japan but I'm glad it looks like our existing aircrafts will be able to meet remote id requirements through a firmware update.

The Remote ID requirements for Japan aren't the same as the FAA's. Close, but Japan is less restrictive. Overall, it should be doable, like you suggested.

Hmm, I was wondering what that update was all about. All it said was for Japan but since I live in the US I thought it was kind of strange.

These frequent updates are a PITA. Seems like every other week, and they can take a long time.

Hello everyone. I just did a DJI Firmware update today/Wednesday on my DJI Air 2S: Does anyone know what this means? Is this related to the FAA Remote ID requirement? Did I just install the Required Remote ID firmware onto my DJI Air 2S for use in the United States?

1. Support for United States RID.
2. Support for DJI Remote Controler.
3. Support for Expo Curve seating in CINE more.
4. Aircraft Firmware- DJI Air 2S-VO2.04.2320
5. RC Firmware- 04.12.0060
6. Fly safety Database for Apps: 01.00.01.27
7. App Version: 1.7.8

Any information please pass along. Trying to lookup the meanings on the above Firmware Updates on my DJI Air 2S, on the computer.

Ok, im totally confused. I just did the most current updates to both my controller and my air2s drone.

I do not see anything about remoteid info when i go into ABOUT menu.

Do i have to enable remote id anywheres? I was told the air2s is able to send info. Im in the usa.
