Suffolk County here. I fly wherever I can. Lots of south and NorthShore and anywhere in between.

I just read a post on another site that said Suffolk County had the harshest laws against flying drones, with up to a year in prison and a $10,000 fine if caught flying over private property like someone's home or even flying in a public park.
Be careful out there!

I heard the Suffolk County "Drone Law" started off extremely harsh, but was debated & adjusted.. However i do not know what the actual law is in 2017 for UAV's.. Anyone here have the latest??

Suffolk County here– I fly all the time and have not once been given a hard time. Just respect people's space and nobody will give you trouble. In fact, I've had multiple people come up to me and ask about the drone because of interest, not annoyance.
