No DJI drones anywhere???

At this point it is obvious dji had left the US market entirely. Buying via ebay is pretty much the only real option. Some things turn up on Amazon or Adorama on occasion but there isn't much there, particularly if you limit your search to sold by Amazon. Buying from a non-amazon is almost as risky as buying from ebay.

Currently, when it comes to non-Amazon third party sellers of DJI on Amazon, they are all scams! Amazon promotes them as though DJI is the seller. Amazon then sanitizes the scam sellers' terrible reviews with strikeouts pretending that Amazon was responsible for the fulfillment of the order, not the scam seller, when the scam seller is the one doing the bogus "shipping" from China with a USPS (that’s not a typo!) tracking number that mysteriously is never received by the US Postal Service, because the scam seller never had any merchandise to sell in the first place. Your only recourse is the A to Z Guarantee, which is worthless, as Amazon will not issue a refund unless the seller agrees, and the seller is given every benefit of the doubt! Buyer Beware!

I'm in between being shocked and not-shocked that the U.S. government has for all intents and purposes banned DJI, I hope that things change, but given that drones are now seeing widespread usage on battlefields, and more restrictions likely coming for using the 0-400 foot air corridor I guess Im not surprised.

I didn't start flying until this past May, so am late to the party on all this but I am glad I had the foresight and means to purchase an Air 3S and M4P. I'd like to the Mavic 4 Pro creator combo, but at this point I'm not sure I'd want to spend that much money on another DJI product out of concerns that something happens where it ends up being a paperweight.

That said, U.S. Drone Supply out of CA is all over Facebook with ads for the Mavic 4 pro. Are they legit ?

what exactly does "activated" mean in this case? Does that mean it's bound to a previous account?

I would imagine the drone is logged into a merchant test account, the drone is then activated, and then the drone is logged out of the merchant test account. No binding is done and when the buyer gets the drone, he is not presented with the opportunity to obtain (and get rejected) DJI Care Refresh. Seller only needs to login with their own DJI account and perform any required binding.

All DJI drones can only be activated once in their lifetime.

supposedly, right now Adorama has the Mini 3 available ($565):

they come with the RC Plus 2E. I was kind of considering this drone about 10 days ago, but in those 10 days, the price has increased by $950....wow. They have extra batteries at $250 each

so if you wanted a Matrice 4E fly more combo it would be $6600. And no Care refresh. That's an awful big chunk of change. Come with O4 and the enterprise app

they also have the Matrice 4D for $7730 which includes the RC Plus 2E and Care Enterprise . But are saying it's a 'Close-out' sale. They still have the Matrice 30T for $12,516.

the Mavic 4 Pro is listed as being 'on backorder/notify-when-available
but they do seem to have quite a few DJI drones

Adorama appears to have a solid inventory of Autel drones....if you're a little desperate I guess

Drone Nerds doesn't have much...some Neo's, Matrice 30T's, and Matrice 4D's. By the way, I just notice that the batteries for the 4D cost $462...yikes!

still, that's gambling nearly $5000 with no recourse if you get a dud. Really have to be desperate for a Mavic 4. Spending $6600 for the Matrice 4E 'fly more combo' with a warranty from Adorama doesn't look that bad in comparison

If you use a good credit card for your purchase, you always have some sort of recourse. I bought my Mavic 4 Pro not out of desperation but mostly from exasperation.
