no fly zone

I just got a mavic mini and haven't flown it yet. I live right next to a small airport and my house is in a no fly zone and even indoors it won't let me test it. I just had some ankle surgery and when it heals a bit I will take it somewhere else but for now I just want to test the functions. I think the red warning said geozone when I tried to fly it thanks

Yes an fortunate location.

Maybe try some of the flight simulators while recovering, it might assist getting the hang of the controls etc.
(I’ve never used the DJI simulator myself. )

Also a great opportunity to read up here and YouTube tutorials to learn up on the little pros and pitfalls of the mini.

Enjoy once you get a chance to get out again. Small steps are definitely best.
