Apart from Pilot error, what seems to be the root cause of crashes?

I have not seen a poll covering this, and this might give some insight into what is most critical to check before flying.

Do you really think you're going to get meaningful stats by asking people who have no idea about them? If someone did they'd already have published such a graph.

Sorry can’t help you.

Zero malfunctions. Zero crashes.

The sensors may not necessarily cause a crash, but they can prevent a drone from returning home, so I threw that in there. In the Phantom 4 series, the battery has seating issues and can cause the drone to lose crashes. You can also throw bird attacks in there. I've also seen the compass error once.

App crashes will not be an issue, because the drone will RTH if the battery gets low enough or if the signal is lost. If you don't set these properly, that's user error. A lost prop because you didn't check them is user error.

No crashes yet. This is the most reliable craft that I’ve flown. I worry more about bird attacks and angry people than mechanical issues.
