Offline Maps IOS

Do that all the time.

Just cache them on your device.

Yep, works fine. Never had a problem. Just turn on the function in your settings.

Cacheing is a bit different from downloading, though. For one thing, I don't know how long or within what limits the cache persists. I also don't have a good way of knowing for certain whether the maps I need are actually going to be available or not using the cache feature. I accept that it probably works OK given what others say, but I'd be happier if I were able to download maps explicitly.

I have cached large areas near me, 100km x 100km and stayed on device for weeks at a time.
Every now and again I refresh them.

I don't really need to pre-load maps near where I live. I need to pre-load them for when I travel thousands of km away where I don't have mobile data service and only very spotty and unreliable wifi.

I cached the area I but when I am flying, the map is empty. What did I do wrong?

Can I use different map program in DJI GO4? Thanks.

iOS.

Nope. There is no reason to try to cache the map when you can use an internet connection there. Which I can't.
