The M2P operating temperature goes down to -10c but strangely, according to the spec., the controllers lowest operating temperature is 0c. Since insurance & regulations (in Canada) require that you only operate within the operations spec., the M2P has very limited use in winter in Canada.

You can keep the controller inside a ziploc while flying and you hands will keep it warm.

Unless you tape some hand/ boot warmers to the bottom of the device. This will not prevent the authorities from stating that your Remote Controller is not rated for less than 0 Degree's however.

In another thread, another member form Canada posted that he attaches hand warmers to the bottom of his controller. Similar to the ones in the link.
Hand warmers

After this posted I see that @BD0G beat me to it.

Having flown M1s in -54c temps, DJI is probably concerned about the battery more than anything else. Enable Boost mode to generate some extra heat :)
