Pictures on my iPad Pro

Yes obviously but people who use IPads (I was specific in my original reply) might find they can use them more and efficiently for file management with the new os. The same is true if they choose to wait for the first post beta release.

IPad iOS- that is what it is called. Apple has developed different iOS for IPad. It works on Pro. Most models support it from what I understand. The oldest device I have tried is an Air2. I’m sure the apple website will have a supported device list.
Cool! I'm an iPad convert as well! Thanks for clarifying. I have both an Air 2 and the original 9.7" iPad Pro. Will the Mini 5 and Mini 4 support it, too?

Your getting lazy in your old age Mate....

It seems, according to google search that the following iPads are supported;

  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro
  • 11-inch iPad Pro
  • 10.5-inch iPad Pro
  • 9.7-inch iPad Pro
  • iPad (6th generation)
  • iPad (5th generation)
  • iPad mini (5th generation)
  • iPad mini 4
  • iPad Air (3rd generation)
  • iPad Air 2
The next question might be what the transfer speeds are with lightning connector models.

I don’t know the answer.

I know it is very quick with the USB equipped iPad Pro where USB 3.1 SSD drives seem to perform to their manufacturer label specs.

I’m happy I don’t need to lug a laptop around now.

For what it’s worth I haven’t had any issues with the latest public beta either. It’s probably safe to give it a crack if you don’t have anything critical on your device and/or a backup.

Thanks for sharing the info. Sometimes asking someone who is already clued in, as you clearly are, is better and faster than a google search. Good things ahead, assuming the iPad iOS doesn't break any older apps that I can't live without! Seems every new iOS update loses more of the older apps that were never updated past their original coding. I'm more of a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kind of guy than an early adopter. I find it less painful than living on the bleeding edge! Kind of like DJI. Wait 6 months to a year before buying any new drone, to let the bugs get squashed, and separate reality from the marketing hype. ;)

I agree. I tend to be the same however enabling external storage is major for obvious reasons. It has been such a significant limitation. Jail breaking is a pain although it’s almost a necessity still for the phone do I can have more apps on CarPlay.
