!! Pilot Fined $20,000 after DJI Flyaway !!

Saw this article about a pilot who thought he'd take a quick shot and was fined $20,000. I've thought of taking quick picks sometimes and this is why I didn't. Only takes one flyaway to cause a major incident.

I see nothing newsworthy here. Anyone who has flown a P3 -ever- would know this is a bad idea and would end badly.

Every DJI consumer drone has had flyaways though.
It is always a good idea to consider it could happen when thinking about flying in such higher risk locations.
It might be perfectly safe and legal to take a flight and do the shoot as planned, but we can be left open to the legal implications should something malfunction, even totally out of the PIC’s control.

Fines started around $15K but late fees etc have it up to $20K and climbing...
