So I have a Mavic Air as my first drone. I love the video that comes out of the drone (4k is amazing). I know for stills this is not the best cameras especially because of the sensor size. I come from the high end DSLR's and i am big pixel peeper in that area but those are cmos and full sized 20mp sensors that pixel peeping shows crazy amount of info. When pixel peeping on raw air photos i am much less impressed. I do not know if i should pixel peep on mavic photos. I havent printed any of the photos. Has any one else played with printing these photos? How did they turn out?

Don’t pixel peep. That’s not how raster images work. If you wanted a flying camera you bought the wrong drone. You bought a drone that has a camera.

Have you ever printed any of your images?

I’ve printed my Mavic Pro images and they turned out great. I use a professional photo lab that’s right next door to me. According to them resolution is a threshold. You either have enough or you don’t and if you have enough you can print any size you want.

A 100’ x 100’ foot billboard that looks good from 2 feet away isn’t going to look good from however far away it’s suppose to be viewed from. The human brain processes images differently from different distances

The sensor in your Mavic Air is about 1/30th the size of the sensor in a full-frame DSLR
You aren't comparing apples and oranges, it's more like blueberries and watermelons.

If you print your 12 megapixel Mavic Air photos at 300 dpi, you will have about 14.25" x 9.25" print - that's pretty good, and an even better 8" x 10" print. you could go larger, but it won't look good.
