Plain white goggles facial surround

Can anyone who has owned both the original pair of DJI Goggles and the RE edition, verify whether or not the general shape of the goggles under the rubber facial surround is the same?

I thought I read where the RE rubber surround had been improved. So I was wondering if it was just the rubber surround or the whole shape of the goggles underneath as well.

If it was the same I was hoping to add the RE edition rubber surround to my plain white pair.

Overall the RE version are a little more comfortable,but minimal improvement as far as the rubber goes.
I think the rubber insert from RE will fit,but not worth the effort.
I often wear the goggles,it’s a fun experience ,but there is defiantly room for improvement in design,weight,and to be able to focus without the need for focus inserts,or glasses.
They might be hi tech, but they look and feel like something from a previous decade.
