Hi,
I need to move a 2 meter long arm (like a tower crane) so that it is parallel to the ground.
To achieve a tolerance of about 100:1, I am thinking of using a NEMA 23 stepper motor/reducer connection system with a 100:1 ratio, connected to the arm via a 3:1 ratio pinion and pulley (as shown in the link below). 2 tenths [(1.8/100/3)/360*(2*3.14*2000)] Hopefully the calculation is correct.

Does anyone have experience with this gearbox? Is the backlash measured on the input or output shaft as specified (≤25)? What is the probability that the resolution at the end of the arm is close to 5?
Thanks
