The new era in US national security. Pay to Play.

It looks like the current regime is putting national security on the back burner with regard to China and technology so long as the company is willing to give the regime a cut. This could be the simple answer for DJI. A cut of 15% to the regime could grease the wheels and DJI is back in business.

But sadly, that 15% will be paid by the consumer

Folks are already paying more than 15% above retail for units from S. Korea and elsewhere. And then they don't get a warranty. Why not just pay a bribe up front and be able to purchase Care Refresh and receive warranty service?

If it were only that cut and dry......However the Government will site The following as a major reason DJI is being harassed.

Market Dominance and Supply Chain Risks: DJI's substantial market share (estimated at over 70% of the U.S. commercial drone market at one time) also raises concerns about U.S. reliance on a single foreign vendor, creating potential vulnerabilities in the supply chain. This is viewed as potentially stifling domestic drone manufacturing and weakening supply chains.

NOW we thinking people in the U.S. KNOW darn well that anything electronic manufactured here would have NO hope of competing with a much cheaper to produce version from China, The Government seems to be ignorant of this fact though.
