I use cyberlink powerdirector 365 on my pc. it's expensive and way more sophisticated than i need, but its the best I've found for my needs.

i just discovered powerdirector has an android app, and it is actually much better for me. I edited and spliced eight videos into one with transitions (on samsung s6 tablet) in a fraction of the time it would have taken on my pc. it seems to have many powerful features, but i have only done lighting, hue, and sharpness so far. At $30, it's a bargain compared to the pc version.

btw, i learned by watching their youtube tutorials at half speed.
