After browsing Airmap, and spotted that some of the most beautiful shoreline is off-limits there in the bay area, and I found this thread, wondering if anyone came up with a practical (and legal) way to fly in or around GGP. It stinks that it’s off limits. I can understand why some parks are NFZ’s (like Yellowstone), but GGP is so expansive, and geographically risky territory for an operator, that I can’t imagine most pilots would fly there. I’d like to think that there was a process for responsible pilots to gain access to some of these parks.
