I've used a few RAW processing programs over the years. Capture One Pro was the first one I worked with over 20 years ago. It was an is pricey. I still have it but rarely use it any more. I almost never use Lightroom. There are a few advantages to LR like being able to create camera profiles, but I can't think of another that I've used. For one or two images I'll almost always go straight to Photoshop. But more often now I will go to On 1 Photo Raw, now selling V2022. I've had it since 2017 or 2018. I forget.
