Public Liability Insurance

Hey folks,
My name’s Brad and I’m new to drones and this site.
I have purchased the new Mavic Air 2 and I’m reaching out to the group to find out about Public Liability Insurance for recreational use.
What’s everyone’s thoughts and suggestions please?

welcome to the forum,in the UK we have several bodies such as BMFA that provide public liability cover when you become a member
perhaps there is an Australian equivelent

Welcome to the forum PE.

Most recreational drone pilots simply wouldn't carry it in Australia.
Flying to CASA regs you shouldn't really need it, unless very unlucky.
There are some insurers offering public liability to commercial drone businesses (RePL / ReOC licenced etc), but usually it is not available to recreational users.

Does anyone known of an insurer in Aust which offers cover for drones (similar perhaps to State Farm which a lot of owners seem to use in USA)? Thanks

Insurance?

Has anybody got any good insurance options for their Mavic? I checked with NRMA and the increase in premium + the extortionate deductible meant it was hardly worth insuring. Adding the Mavic would have cost me an extra $300 per year with a $500 deductible.
