Before I got my Mavic Air, I had (and still have) a Hubsan H502s, which lets you change between GPS and no GPS, so if you see yourself drifting towards the bushes, you just have to flip the switch and it holds position. It taught me a lot about flying without the rock solid stability of the MA. I also have a really basic $60 Syma x5 that has no GPS... I haven't flown either of them, since I got the MA.
