Question on Changing settings in the app

When changing the settings in the dji go 4 app do I have to be connected to my Mavic. It seems the settings either don't take or don't show my current settings unless I'm connected to the Mavic.
I made a few changes to the app on my iPad Air 2 while connected and flew the other day. I was very happy with the changes. Now I want to mimic them on my iPhone 7 plus so I have the same settings on bothe devices.
Depends on where I'm going to fly if I want the Ipad or iPhone.

Your Mavic needs to be connected to DJI GO when saving settings that are stored on the Mavic. Most settings are stored on the Mavic, so it's best to connect to DJI GO before making any changes.
