I took these RAW shots with a)normal and b) d-log settings and imported the pics on my iOS device. how come I see the color difference in my camera roll (and macOS photo app thumbnails) but not in affinity photo or Lightroom?

Pics attached

Also, it should not affect the raw file anyways?

RAW images typically contain a lowres .jpg preview which is used for thumbnails. Chances are the color settings active when the image was shot are applied to the preview so they will show up in Camera roll etc however when you actually open the file in a full blown editor and work with the full data you'll see the original raw file. Makes sense?

Correct. The JPG of which the thumbnail is a small version of is affected by your color settings, while RAW is RAW so isn't, and its interpretation is 100% to the task of the processing software (LR in your case) which sees the same things both times.

the others are correct about the lowres .jpg. to add to that:

RAW is just a collection of voltage readings from the sensor without any processing. To display it your software has to handle this. Different software will display/interpret the RAW data differently. and the resulting pictures you saved and posted are processed JPGs.

Unlike processed files (like JPG) you can adjust RAW without losses, before converting it to a processed format (like JPG) to for example post online.
