REALLY risky shots turned out really nice

I like your shots very much it is the first time that i see what possible is with drones
Also the mix with different shots are very good.
I am a videoediter for over 30 years
One point for comment is maybe the music choice, but that very personly.
Greetings from holland
Thank you for your kind words!

Hey all!

Really proud of how this one turned out,
Flew most of the low and close shots with “line of site” of the drone, meaning I stared at it the whole shot without a glance down at the controller.

Shot on Mavic 2 pro, and few shots on iPhone XS Max

Any feedback/questions/input welcome!

-Ross

EDIT: I used Polarpro ND32 when flying my Mavic 2 Pro.. There is one shot that I used my Mavic 2 Zoom and I don't have filters for that one, so you can kind of notice the stutter due to the shutter speed being extremely high at 1:35 in the video. Not the biggest fan of the zoom in general as it doesn't allow easing in and out of zooming.. pretty big deal breaker for active pushing in and out during shooting... I wrecked my first Mavic 2 and busted the gimbal, bought the zoom gimbal/camera for about $280 and installed it and have been flying that on the side. I hardly use it though..

Normally I would say "too long," but this was nicely done and held my attention. Good job.

Thanks! I;m still kinda in the 'I don't know what I don't know' stage. Just got My Mavic Air last week.
Oh sick! I would say my first piece of advice is to bring it to an open space and fly at least 5-10 batteries while you watch your drone the entire time.

It really helps you understand orientation and will keep you from crashing it in many different scenarios.

I have been doing that and getting better at it. Trying to be smooth shooting video as well. It's a learning curve but easier than I thought to fly in general, just hard to fly well. The good part is it is a lot of fun learning!

Nice work!
You can really never have enough practice, especially while flying towards yourself (when all the controls are mirrored)

Thank you!
Aerial footage is getting a little tired, hence why I did quite a bit of shots on the ground

At your level Ross you need to perfect just about every kind of shot possible. When the big money Jobs come along you need to know exactly how to handle any request. For the majority of us who are just in the Hobby league we have the luxury of just flying for the sake of fun.

I am really looking forward to the day when you tell me your name is in the credits of a big movie production.
