I have a second drone which I want to register with the FAA (recreation only). However, I get referred to my previously registered aircraft on the FAA site. How do I get a second "unique" number?
That's a fantastic question. I'm not sure why the FAA requires unique registration numbers when flying commercially. Flying is flying, right?why would Part 107 require numbers unique to the drones, and 336 only require a number unique to the owner, when both achieve the same thing?
I also snuck in additional thoughts,That's a fantastic question. I'm not sure why the FAA requires unique registration numbers when flying commercially. Flying is flying, right?
I guess you technically could. However, you only need a Part 107 registration if you're going to fly both as a hobbyist and commercially. If you can be BOTH part 107 and part 336, why cant you register drones both ways?
