After reading the threads on registration a drone I am confused. For recreation purpose do you need to registrant one if you already registrant one or does the number follow the owner and not the drone. I already have a Phantom and just bought a Mavic. Just a simple answer will do.

Put the same number on the Mavic. Number follows the owner.

As long as you registered under Section 336 here, you can apply the same FAA registration number to all of your drones.
